About “Soundscapes Of Tehran”
Soundscapes of Tehran (also ‘Tehranscape’) is a collaborative ongoing project (since 2016) aiming to capture, archive and explore the sonar qualities of the soundscapes in the city of Tehran, especially across the populate areas in the form of an archive, and to support activities that draw attention toward the subject.
Such an archive can be either used for researchers in the field of culture, namely the ethnomusicology, or urban planning on the engineering side. This can also be very useful for sound artists for other creative purposes, including post-production for the film and other relative media. Continue reading
